Create the custom piece of your dreams (and much more) at Westwood’s LaViano Jewelers

When it comes to buying jewelry, you shouldn’t trust just anyone. So many people are quick to buy online or jump at the best deal they find. It is so important to find a reputable dealer like LaViano Jewelers in Westwood, who offer five-star quality, selection, and service. Not only does this family owned shop have over 70 years of experience, but they also have the most spectacular selection of fine jewelry and timepieces that I have ever seen in Northern New Jersey, plus top-notch customer service. I recently stopped by their inviting Westwood Avenue location to learn more about their custom designs, shop for some one-of-kind gifts, and browse their expansive (and fantastic) watch collection.

The moment you walk through the store’s understated but elegant facade, you are treated like a member of the family. Jack LaViano has been the principal owner of LaViano Jewelers since 1965, taking over for his father Michael who started the company in 1945. The third generation master jeweler and Swiss-trained watchmaker proved his dedication to quality,  by providing their clients with the finest products available regardless of price. Through their dedication to customer service, they have evolved into one of the most respected independent jewelry stores in the country. Jeffrey LaViano and Doug LaViano are the fourth generation and their passion for the jewelry business truly shows — from working the floor, to greeting customers, and even shining up diamonds (Doug is the pro!), they both believe going above and beyond for their clients sets them apart from their competition.

One of my personal favorites was Patek Philippe’s 4947G, a beautiful white gold watch with a blue sunburst dial, gold applied numerals and adorned with diamonds. I did not want to take this gorgeous work-of-art off (sadly I had to after about 30 minutes of ohhhing and ahhhhing). My birthday is next month, if there’s any takers!
