With a four percent acceptance rate, the 2017 Forbes 30 Under 30 class was more difficult to get into than Harvard. 30 honorees in 30 different categories (600 individuals) made the list, including some of our favorite New Jersey celebrities.
New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham, 24, was featured in sports and named “the most electric receiver in the league.” The two-time Pro Bowler was also named the AP Offensive Rookie of the Year and holds a variety of records for the Giants and the NFL.
25-year-old Rumson native Charlie Puth was honored in the music category after co-writing and producing the biggest-charting hip hop record in more than ten years, “See You Again” with Wiz Khalifa.
22-year-old Washington Township native Halsey, who was honored last year, was one of the judges for the music category. Her managers, Anthony Li and Jason Aron were featured this year. The singer also also graced this year’s cover alongside Olympian Michael Phelps, musician Jason DeRulo and Hello founder James Proud.
