Former Real Housewives of New Jersey star and two time breast cancer survivor Amber Marchese shared her story Sunday in Jersey City at the Handbags of Hope Women’s Breast Cancer Awareness Brunch. The Marriage Bootcamp star was the guest speaker at the Kentucky Derby themed fundraiser which took place at the Culinary Conference Center at Hudson County Community College. She discussed everything from her diagnosis at 31 years old to the lessons she’s learned.
Jersey City native, Dr. Julie DiGioia also joined Amber on stage to discuss high risk breast cancer prevention and treatment options. Dr. Garrett Wirth shared his new Fenestrated FlexHD pliable allograft, aka the “internal bra,” which allows patients more direct-to-implant reconstruction.
There event also featured “a wall of hope” where attendees wrote down inspirational messages and guests were able to sign up for free mammograms. 100% of the event proceeds are being donated to The Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation. Click below to see photos from the fabulous afternoon.
