5 perfect fall activities to do this weekend in northern NJ


Still need weekend plans? Look no further! There are tons of fun fall activities going on in northern New Jersey these weekend and the weather looks picture perfect. Here are five you should absolutely add to your to-do list.

1. Go on a hayride
Abma’s Farm in Wyckoff has $5 public hayrides every weekend all through October from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Your Instagram page needs a good hayride shot!

2. Enjoy the arts
The Paramus Art in the Park Show and Concert is scheduled for Saturday October 15. Head to the Van Saun County Park to check out the amazing exhibition, which features over 100 adult artists! There will also be live music from 12:30 to 3:30 pm.

3. Hit up a harvest festival
The Jersey City Harvest Festival is Saturday October 15 from 10 am to 2 pm. There will be tons of fun fall activities at City Hall Plaza, including a magic show and pumpkin painting! The Great Fall Festival at Flat Rock Brook in Englewood is on Sunday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and will feature music and a barbeque. It’s free for members, or $15 for adults and $10 for children over 6 years old.

4. Have a food truck feast
The Bergen County Food Truck and Music Carnival is Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Whiskey Bar and Bistro in Lyndhurst. General admission is $5. There will be plenty of food trucks, vendors and life music. (There’s also going to be a beard and mustache competition if that’s your kind of thing!)

5. Get scared!
Nightmare of River Road in New Milford is open all weekend from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. The indoor haunted attraction is sure to scare and even includes killer clowns! Ah! We have rounded up even more haunted attractions for you here.
