Bath bombing isn’t the only hobby Caroline Manzo has recently picked up. The Manzo’d With Children store now has a new passion for interior design. Now that all three of her kids — Albie Manzo, Chris Manzo, and new homeowner Lauren Manzo Scalia  are all officially out of the family house, Caroline and her husband Albert Manzo are officially empty nesters, and ready for a change.

And so it begins – #emptynest house make over – 👏👍

The Franklin Lakes resident tells Bravo’s The Daily Dish that she started her home makeover in August by redoing her dining room with a fabulous checkered train table, chairs, and kitchen stool set from MacKenzie Childs.

“I have a lot of things I want to do. We moved in in 1999. We built the house ourselves, so it needs to be freshened up. It needs a facelift. Nothing crazy,” she says. “After all the years of dogs and kids and everything else, I want new furniture, and I want to paint and make the house a grown-up house kind of thing.”

Caroline says she is going for a more classic, understated look,  “Right now, everything is so ornate, and I want to simplify. I don’t want to see gold anywhere. I think I want to do all neutral hues, grays and cream and blue, kind of thing. Just make it very, very simple. Brighter, I want to brighten up the whole house, and just make it mine.”

She plans on turning one of her sitting rooms into a library, and wants to convert  Lauren’s old bedroom into a nursery for her soon-to-be grandchild. “We’re just gonna make it our own but still very comfortable for the kids when they want to come,” she says.

We can’t wait to see the finished product!
