Melissa Rauch might be one of the biggest stars on television starring in the hit show The Big Bang Theory, but she never forgets her Jersey roots. The Marlboro native took to her Instagram to share an amazing throwback photo of her life before Hollywood.

“#TBT to my name tag from one of my first jobs,” she wrote alongside a pic of her Johnny Rockets name tag. “Credit this place with my killer ketchup pouring skills.#jerseystrong”

Funny enough, Melissa was able to use her real-life waitressing skills for her role as Bernadette on the CBS show. In the first couple of seasons she worked as a waitress at the Cheesecake Factory while still in school. Luckily, if you want to live a little taste of Melissa’s fictional and legit career paths you can. There’s a Johnny Rockets a Garden State Plaza in Paramus and a Cheesecake Factory just down the road at The Shops at Riverside in Hackensack.

Lucky for Melissa, she chose a career in acting because she could have been a cast member on the Jersey Shore she admitted.” My fear is that, had I stayed in Jersey, I would have become Snooki because I’m just a bottle of hair dye away,” she once said.
