Over 400 New Jersey ladies donned their best pink-inspired ensembles to help raise awareness for breast cancer at St. Barnabas Medical Center’s 3rd annual Fashion for The Pink Crusade. The October 5th charity event at The Park Savoy Estate in Florham Park featured an elaborate cocktail reception, fabulous prizes and raffles, and a fashion show presented by Bloomingdale’s at The Mall at Short Hills. All of the evening’s proceeds benefit The Breast Center at Barnabas Health Ambulatory Care Center, one of the nation’s largest and most comprehensive breast imaging facilities.

“We are so excited that it’s an amazing resource for the communities that we serve,” St. Barnabas Medical Center President and CEO Stephen P. Zieniewicz tells OMJ. “We have fabulous medical oncologists, and we have our department of radiation oncology, and we have exemplar breast surgeons that are also part of the whole team.”

Breast cancer survivor and St. Barnabas Medical Center patient Jennifer DeJesus gave a rousing speech praising the breast center and their amazing staff.

Event chair Rosemary Scoppetuolo says, “The most important part about this evening are the people in the audience, because they are here for the cause. It’s about the journey of a woman’s life going through what they go through, from when they are first diagnosed with breast cancer. It’s all about them.”
