One of absolute favorite stars Anna Kendrick is kicking off her book tour in the Garden State with an appearance at Bookends in Ridgewood on Monday night to sign copies of her debut book, Scrappy Little Nobody. The Academy and Tony Award-nominated actress’ autobiographical collection of essays recounts memorable moments throughout her life; from her middle class upbringing in New England to the blockbuster movies like Up in the Air and Pitch Perfect that have made her a household name. With her quick-wit and relatable sense of humor, Anna covers a range of topics from giving up on being nice, to boys and the terror of being near them.
“Something amazing happened to me when I hit my mid-20s. I stopped liking guys who didn’t like me back,” Anna told People about her new look towards life. “In fact, I stopped liking guys who were bad people.”
The November 14 event starts at 6 pm and you can purchase your copy of the book ahead of time. Anyone who purchases a book in advance (it will be waiting for you at the store) can get a selfie with the star. Scrappy Little Nobody hits shelves on Tuesday, November 15th.
