I had the honor over the past six years to be a judge for The Handbag Awards held in NYC in June. Designers from all over the world submit their designs to be judged by 12 of us. When finalists are chosen, the likes of Michael Kors, Monica Botkier, and Trina Turk to name a few are among the esteemed panel of final judges.
Attending the awards is spectacular, including a who’s who at the cocktail party and attending the awards. This year my sister Denise Del Russo attended with me, along with my dear friend Oriana LaMarca. My sister left feeling inspired by the evening and wanting to know more about the judging process and designers.
As for my outfit of the night, I had planned to wear a floral Karen Millen dress, but switched when I found a perfect blush color asymmetrical dress at Bloomingdales Short Hills by Mustard Seed. I love the fit and cut outs in all the right places. I finished the look with my fav Jimmy Choo heels and Pinko chain bucket bag. Oh what a night. Stay tuned for my youtube vlog all about it.
